Denise and I are still flying high from all of the beautiful things you did to celebrate our anniversary with the church. It’s been overwhelming to read the stories. But like I said in church this weekend, so many of the comments are about the love and acceptance of this place we call Parkview.
That is why it’s so important for us to realize how much this is a team effort here. The love and acceptance that many people feel here is because they ran into an amazing man whose legs don’t work anymore, and never lets it bother him. To be in his presence is to be in the presence of love and grace and gratitude. It’s to be in the presence of Jesus.
And he couldn’t do any of it without his life partner, Dawn, who is an angel in every way.
I really liked the thought from Don Piper that when we get to heaven we’ll be greeted by the people who helped us get there. So we’ll be greeting the people whom we’ve helped get to heaven too.
I have this image in my mind of being in heaven and having a line. I want to have a line. My life’s purpose is to help people get into heaven. “I STAND BY THE DOOR.” So if I don’t have a line – I’ve wasted my life!
But I have this image in my mind of my line. And I think I’ll see my line and be so excited to hear the stories, like we did with the cards for our anniversary. And it will be incredible. It’s everything I live for now; it will be remarkable.
And then I’ll look over at Lonnie’s line – in awe. For one, Lonnie will be standing, and long after I’ve greeted all the people I know – Lonnie’s line will keep going and going and going.
That’s my picture.
We love you Lonnie, thanks for 15 years. We’re praying you have a whole lot more with us here!
Tim
Amen! Truly, 'Love on Wheels'. I've felt & seen it, personally, in my own life and in countless others other lives he touches - every day. We love you, man :-)

Yep...EVERY time we are in a hospital for someone in the family (which has been a lot of times)...we know it's only a matter of time before we hear, "Heeaay!" and then see him rolling in! He always seems to know and then shows up!! Pastor Love, we love you so much!! And Dawn, we love you even more - for taking such good care of him so he can take care of all of PCC!! Happy Anniversary to you both!!

I can tell it is a group effort to make Parkview work. During the service, I see and hear Tim up on the platform, literally in the spotlight. Lonnie however, I see contently sitting guard, quietly in the shadows at the back of the church. What a perfect tag team duo. Nets on both sides of the boat. You guyz have it covered front to back. Way to go. Thanks Lonnie for all your hard work, loving heart, and infectious smile.
