Well, here we go, Parkview – another spiritual journey is underway. We’ve come up to the banks of yet another promised land and God is telling us to go on in. And we have to decide if we are going to believe that He is God and really wants to “enlarge our territory” - or if we are just done and we’re going to sit around and decide that this church is good enough and no one else around us needs Jesus.
I was at a gathering of pastors from large churches this past week. Most of them are seeing growth and more people coming to Christ, some of them are not, and all of them were facing challenges.
You are either facing the challenge of finding more ways and resources to help more people find God. Or you are challenged because it’s not happening. One way or another, Satan does not like people swinging over to the “light.”
So the spiritual warfare is huge. I can’t tell you how much it’s going on. I know I say this from time to time, but we need everyone to join us in prayer. It’s so hard to fight, when you can’t see it. And the fact that we have spiritual warfare is so cool! Because I’ve been a part of a lot of churches where the evil one did not give a rip about what they were doing.
We have prayer guides available for this weekend. We’re asking everyone to spend some time and pray for the next 21 days. Pick up a guide – do it as a family. If you can – do it at 7 pm because a lot of us will do it together that way.
Don’t miss the weekend – or any of these weekends. It’s powerful stuff and you will want to hear about all the amazing opportunities that God has given us.
A little heads up. Do you realize that we’ve added a zero to the number of people who call Parkview home in the last ten years?
We have 10 times more people than we did ten years ago. Ten times more opportunity.
What does the future hold? I don’t know, but it’s so cool to be laying it all out for Jesus. He told his disciples that the harvest was great and the workers were few.
Do you know what that means? If we’re one of the few – we’re going to be busting it, but we are going to be knee deep in grain!
And the grain is eternal life.
John 4:34 35Do you not say, 'Four months more and then the harvest'? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest. 36Even now the reaper draws his wages, even now he harvests the crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper may be glad together.
Here is a link to the website if you want to see all the stuff God is doing...
Matthews’s version says “Pray to the Lord of the harvest.”
Please pray.

Let the harvest begin.... It's sooo exciting... but a bit scary too.... God will be with us all the way though... Satan is not invited to this harvest. He's not wanted close to PCC at all.....
