I hope you are praying along with us during the next 21 days with our “Great Investment” guide. Prayer Guide
This is going to be one of the greatest times of spiritual growth in our congregation as we spend time in the Word and in Prayer and ask God what he wants to do through us and through PCC.
This is the key verse from yesterday,
I Corinthians 2:9-10 "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him"— but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit.
This is the beauty of stepping out in faith like we are as a church. Until we do it, we can never know the extent of God’s faithfulness. Ten years ago, if you were to tell me that in 2008, Parkview was going to look like this, I never would have imagined it. I know we aren’t perfect, but the people, the baptisms, the small groups, the missions we support, the local ministry that is happening – is all past what “my mind could have conceived.”
I can’t help but wonder what the next ten years will be like. I am so excited to see that God has prepared for those of us who love him. It’s going to be amazing. But we have to have the faith to step out and trust him.
What I do know is that as we roll out these plans for the future, (See Great Investment Website) it’s hard to see past the buildings and land and Lockport location – and the temporary stuff. Listen – this is all just a bunch of ministry tools. That’s all. It will all burn up someday. These things are not the focus.
Today’s verse reminds us of that.
2 Corinthians 4:8 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
What we don’t see is the spiritual battles that will be won in our new buildings and on our new land and in our new ministries. This is the focus. I don’t care what the chapel looks like, I care that unseen miracles will happen through funerals, and weddings, and events, and seats for a weekend service.
I think the new children’s space is going to be incredible. But I’m more excited about the unseen times hearts will be touched. I’m excited about the next generation of Christian leaders that will find Christ and will lead this and other churches on to sharing the gospel with countless people that we will never meet.
unseen = eternal.
Which is why Jesus tells us to lay our treasures up – at the same place. In the unseen place.
It’s all about the unseen.
Tim

Yes! It is not the money but the unseen that the money will provide for. It is not the buildings but the unseen GOD Things that will happen in, around and because of them...that more will see, more will hear and the stakes are real and forever, they are
The Unseen and Eternal... That is what we Pray for and what we give our all to. Thank you!

That's what true faith is all about "the unseen". I'm so grateful for the leadership at Parkview, they are biblically obeying God's direction for a growing church. Praying, Fasting, and Giving in humility, surely the Lord will answer and give his blessing. To God be all glory,honor, and praise forever!
